Chapter 26 Response - Chloe

This is written for tuba. In the beginning, suspense builds, but is resolved by the repeat and a suspension after the legato.

Chapter 26 response

I honestly can't write music. I tried. It sounded like someone nuking a music store. But if I could , miraculously, put something together it would go somewhere along these lines. The beginning would be slow but apprehensive. Filled with energy and a sense of looming danger. Much like the whole experience in the arena. As the piece moved toward it's middle section it would become more triumphant and victorious but with an undercurrent of fear and disgust. As Katniss must have been feeling as she won the hunger games. By the end there would be a slowing defeated feel as one would imagine Katniss felt as she and Peeta were being kept apart.

Chapter 26- Caroline's Answer

To be played on a trumpet.
The first measure shows the tension building as Peeta and Katniss start to eat the berries. The next two measures are triumphant as the characters spit out the berries and they are declared the winners. Then the song goes on to show rising up as if on the ladder of a hover craft. The next four symbolize the emotion inside of Katniss as she bangs against the door. Finally, The song ends with a quiet whole note as if all of the energy has gone. This shows Katniss' defeat.

Chapter 25- Answer

This is makeup I did on myself. This is what i would look like. I would look more like a cat then a dog because I am more sleek. My eyes would be big because I like to see the whole picture. I would have a "Foxface" look to me because if I was in the arena, I would act like her.

Chapter 25- Caroline's Answer

This mutt represents me in many ways. I made the fur yellow and straight to represent my hair and the eyes are blue as are mine. She is standing up to show that I am tall and her arm is beckoning to symbolize leadership. I made an orange collar around her neck because I love the color orange and the fruit. Another reason the collar is orange is because I think it represents my personality. I am happy but also complex.

Chapter 27- Creating

Chapter 25 Response - Chloe

This is a puppet, and while I did not make the body, I did put the eyes in place and sew the different fabric onto the muzzel for a school project about wolves long ago. This mutt is brown - gray, and the eyes are brown. It is wrapped in a silk scarf. This represents me because the colors reflect my own, and the lying position portrays a feeling of calm inside the mutt.

Chapter 21-Caroline's Answer

#1- Foxface sprints from inside the cornucopia and grabs her backpack.
#2- Katniss turns to shoot an arrow at Clove. She misses.
#3- Clove pins Katniss to the ground, and threatens her.
#4- After bashing Clove's head with a rock, Thresh lifts Clove off of Katniss
#5- Both Katniss and Thresh run away with backpacks as Cato mourns over Clove.

Chapter 26- Answer

Element

Fire is glowing.
Fierce and strong so carry on.
Be quick and mighty,
'till death be like the fire.

Chorus:
Fire, Water, Stone and Wind,
Carry me off in the distance.
Later we will find a place to call home. Oooooh.

Water is flowing.
Power and grace so carry on.
Be quick and mighty,
'till death be like the water.
Chorus

Stone is falling.
Thundering down, so carry on.
Be quick and mighty,
'till death be like the stone.

Chorus

Wind is blowing.
Soft and calm, so carry on.
Be quick and mighty,
'till death be like the Wind.

The first drawing is the cornucopia, and the orange backpack lies in the fragile space outside it. The next drawing is the fire storm, and charred trees are flaming. The third one is the wasp nest hanging from the tree. The next drawing is the cave where Peeta lies, and the last is the mutts. Beries lie on the golden cornucopia.
